Karen and her Akitas especially enjoy DOCNA
"Dogs on Course in North America"
another of the agility venue options.
Jess and Roxy are two special agility Akitas loved by Dianne McCormick

Akitas are perfectly capable of learning and performing demanding physical tasks.

If patience and fun is always the focus of your training, your Akita will love the sport you choose for you both. But, if you are cross and show displeasure, your Akita will shut down and refuse to work.

Clickers can be especially useful tools to mark the moment with approval.

When selecting an Akita for companionship and/or dog sports, good temperament is every bit as important as good structure.

Remember, bad temperament, bad hips or bad health must be dealt with daily for the lifetime of the Akita.

Please don't ask a sweet dog with bad hips, elbows or patellas to attempt a rigorous, physically demanding sport like agility.
